It was truly an amazing experience. Decided to check them out for my birthday, and the fact that the hostess and the waitress knew was an extra touch. They even printed my name on the menu. Food was amazing. Served with no rush, warm, and extremely tasty. Their drinks and wine menu were also excellent. We will definitely come back.

Excellent high end option in Richmond. I started with the lamb chops, might have been the highlight. While I often find chops not filling enough as a main, as a starter they were perfect and perfectly cooked. The halibut was a good option for my main course, again cooked great and accompanied by a nice assortment of vegetables. I wish, though, it was clearer on the menu that it would only be a few asparagus pieces, as I would have ordered the asparagus side. Probably my most pleasant surprise was having Chateau Musar available by the glass (even just available), my favorite wine and was very glad to introduce it to my colleagues.

Sara T was an excellent waitress! Our meal was absolutely delicious. I got the Caesar salad, barnyard burger, and pineapple upside down cake. My dad got the scallops. My godfather got the crab cake appetizer and chicken entree . We all thought it all was amazing. Definitely recommend! We also got 2x half bottle Champ Piper which was also good!

My husband and I had dinner there the last weekend for the Christmas decorations. The place was stunning and the food unique but delicious! Our server was attentive. We sat in an intimate room of the restaurant. My husband got the beef tenderloin and I had the organic chicken. Even though delicious, I felt the chicken was a little dry and overcooked. The sauces definitely elevated the chicken. For dessert I brought home the eggnog cheese cake which was yum! I’d definitely go back when they change the menu so we can try something new. Definitely go for Christmas. It will make your visit even more special.

I can’t rave highly enough about the service and hospitality of Lemaire and the Jefferson hotel. We had nothing but pleasant experiences during all of our encounters with the staff. The food here is exceptional - yes it’s expensive, but you get what you pay for and it’s top quality.
We stayed two nights and dined here for dinner both nights. Honestly I couldn’t choose a favorite dish because everything was so delicious. Love the Gluten Free options too - the waitstaff even brought me GF bread. Such a treat!

Had such an amazing breakfast at Lemaire this Saturday with my family while they were staying there! The whole experience was wonderful from start to finish. The hostess, I believe her name was Cambria, was sweet and welcoming the moment we walked in. Our server Sydney was fantastic! She was super friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was beautiful. I’ll definitely be back!

Dinner at Lemaire in the beautiful Jefferson Hotel was one of the best meals I’ve had in Richmond. The space itself is gorgeous—refined and romantic without feeling uptight.
The food was incredible. The polenta with chorizo had such a nice contrast between creamy and spicy. We started with raw oysters, and they were so fresh and well-prepared that my girlfriend, who had never tried oysters before, ended up loving them.
I had the pork porterhouse, which was super flavorful and paired perfectly with a citrusy green sauce that really lifted the dish. The collard greens with bacon tasted homemade and rich, like something your Southern grandma would make. The salmon was cooked just right—crispy skin, tender inside, and perfectly seasoned.
The mocktails were another surprise. Each one had layers of flavor and felt thoughtful and balanced. Honestly, they were fun enough that we didn’t miss having alcohol at all.
Lemaire is the kind of place you go when you want to treat yourself to something special. Amazing food, great service, and an atmosphere that makes the night feel like a real occasion

Arriving late, shortly before closing, I was pleased to find an open table, and appreciated the friendly, knowledgeable waitress, who carefully outlined the vegan/vegetarian options. In fact, I look forward to returning with my wife, a fellow vegetarian, who will surely enjoy the delicious food and warm ambiance. Pictured is the golden beet salad on a bed for whipped coconut creme, braised red cabbage, and rich, flavorful truffle bucatini.
